In Resident Evil 5: Retribution (2012), the Umbrella Corporation has released a deadly virus known as the T-virus onto the earth. The T-Virus, in Resident Evil 5: Retribution (2012), as well as the previous 4 installments, turns the entire population of earth into zombies. The main character is known as Alice (played by Mila Jovovich in Resident Evil 5: Retribution), who awakens in the secret laboratory of the Umbrella corporation. As she explores this secret facility, she learns more and more about her mysterious past. Since she has nowhere to go but deeper into the facility, she hunts down those responsible for unleashing the T-virus onto the earth, and seeks revenge for her own strange past.
In watching Resident Evil 5: Retribution (2012), you will see Alice hunt down those responsible through New York to Tokyo, Moscow and Washington DC. In the end she receives a revelation that makes her rethink her entire existence and reason for hunting down those responsible. Old friends and new allies join her, trying to keep her alive long enough to escape the clutches of the Umbrella Corporation once and for all.
